Opportunity for students: Blended Intensive Program (BIP) "Achieving Sustainable Development Goals through Chemistry, Chemical, and Food Technology"

The Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, University of Split, is excited to announce the upcoming Blended Intensive Program (BIP), organized in collaboration with partner universities from Malta, Poland, and France. This program offers a unique opportunity for students from diverse academic backgrounds (undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels) to come together, collaborate, and focus on achieving sustainable development goals.

Program Details:

Focus Areas: Green chemistry, circular economy, life cycle assessment, and sustainable food technology
Format: A combination of virtual (pre-course) and physical sessions, including lectures, workshops, and expert visits
Dates:
- Virtual component: 10 days before the physical session (a 2-hour session)
- Physical component: April 7–11, 2025
Location: Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Split, Croatia
Credits: 3 ECTS

1st International Congress for Sustainable Ecosystems in the Mediterranean area (STEcoMed2024)

The Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Split is a co-organizer of the international scientific and professional meeting called the 1st International Congress for Sustainable Ecosystems in the Mediterranean area (STEcoMed2024). The meeting will be held on October 2 and 3, 2024 in the premises of our Faculty (Split, R. Boškoviža 35 -amphitheater A02) . The aim of this meeting is to gather eminent experts from the academic community and industry and to discuss the challenges, latest achievements and opportunities related to the sustainability of blue (sea), green (soil and agricultural production) and yellow (tourism) systems in the Mediterranean area.

GDANSK LIPANJ 2024 Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Marin Ugrina and prof. Ph.D. Nediljka Vukojević Medvidović represented the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology at the meeting of the SEA-EU 2.0 project within the framework of TASK 4.4 Goes Greener held on June 6 and 7, 2024 in Gdansk (Poland). Scientific meeting YISAC2024 at the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology (FCT)

In the period 17-20 June 2024, the 29th Young Investigators' Seminar on Analytical Chemistry (YISAC) was held at FCT. YISAC is a traditional scientific meeting of young researchers with a topic in the field of analytical chemistry. We are proud of the new scientific meeting at our Faculty and the opportunity to host young and talented scientist.
